“I wanted to be able to give back to Polynesia everything it had given me,

By imagining a project THAT WOULD have a positive impact, the idea being to preserve nature as much as the local culture, the soul and spirit of a community that I truly hold close to my heart”.

— Christophe Robin

The origin of Ginette Moorea, an overwhelming feeling of belonging…

The one which Christophe experiences for the island, as he sails past the house, five years ago.

“Lagoon, breathtaking nature, agriculture, culture, Mo’orea is a gem... When I heard the house was for sale, I did not hesitate for a moment. Mo’orea is a privileged island. There are only three hotels, the rest are usually bed & breakfasts for traveling surfers”.

In January 2019, he decides to acquire this authentic Polynesian fare. After spending over a year renovating with the utmost care and taste – bringing the beach house back to its past charm and beauty, it is finally ready to welcome guests. Four suites (eight guests maximum), including a master bedroom facing the lagoon, an individual bungalow, and two suites by the swimming pool – compose this Eden.

“There really wasn’t any exclusive villa offering the level of service of a palace. Also, I really wanted to give back to Polynesia all that it had given me through the years; by imagining a project that would have a positive impact, the idea being to preserve nature as much as the local culture, the soul and spirit of a community that I truly hold close to my heart”.

Hair color expert and hair care guru, Christophe Robin is a self-taught man. After 30 years working with clients from the fashion, film, and music worlds, he opened his iconic Parisian hair salon, an address well known by those who seek the best colorists trained by Christophe himself – and created his eponymous line of hair care products known for its cult following.

From his craft as a colorist, the art of enhancing one’s beauty through subtle strokes of a brush. It is with the same level of demand that he designed Ginette Mo’orea, in the total respect of nature and how it is sublimated.

“In my hair salon, I have always tried to welcome my clients in a special way, by giving the feeling that I was welcoming them in my home. This is what I hope for as well at Ginette Mo’orea, for guests to feel at home. I’ve traveled the world and was lucky enough to experience some of the most exclusive destinations. But real luxury does not lie in protocols. It is rather about thoughtful attention, presence, and kindness. This genuine generosity that I have enjoyed at La Gazelle D’Or (Taroudant, Morocco) is for me the perfect definition of luxury”.
